Todd Courser grew up on a small family farm in Lapeer and graduated from Lapeer East High School. He worked his way through Mott Community College and graduated from UM-Flint where he studied business. Todd’s belief in the Christian heritage of America and the original intent of limited government set forth by our Founding Fathers led him to go to law school. He graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2003. He is both a lawyer and an accountant and has built his accounting and legal firm to one of the best in the Thumb. His law firm and small business specializes, in estate planning, bankruptcy, elder law, and tax resolution.
Todd and his wife, Fon, have been married for 14 years and together have four children. Todd has been involved in politics since college. He has been on the frontlines in the fight for liberty, for freedom, against higher taxes, and for limited government. He has done this as a citizen, activist and candidate. In 2008, he ran for State Representative. In 2010, he narrowly lost in a bid for State Senate. Since then, he has become a leader of grassroots Conservative Republicans across the state of Michigan. He has fought for more parental control and choice in Education and was the nominee of the Republican Party for State Board of Education. He took on Republican Party Chairman Bobby Schostak in a fight for a conservative direction for the party. Todd came away from that experience with a passion to change the party, the state and the country. Todd believes it is essential that we fight for more liberty, more freedom, less taxes, less government and more jobs.
